Wastecon 2026 Programme – Call for Submissions
We hereby invite prospective conference participants to submit an abstract for consideration for WasteCon 2026. All abstracts must be in an 'extended abstract' format of maximum 2 pages. The abstract should provide sufficient information for the reviewer to make a decision without being too detailed. The extended abstract template is available here, and must be uploaded on the abstract submission form.
This year we are excited to announce that we have partnered with the Waste Management and Research scientific journal to publish a virtual issue for WasteCon 2026 which will include a selection of papers from the conference. The review and selection process will be conducted by the journal editors and will take place after WasteCon 2026. We ask that you please indicate on the abstract submission form if you are interested in submitting a paper for consideration for the virtual issue.
To assist with your submission please ensure you have the following information available:
Once your abstract has been submitted, it will be reviewed by our Review Panel and if accepted, the abstract will be included in the conference programme and a presentation slot will be allocated for presentation of the work. The extended abstracts will be included in a conference proceedings which will be available after the conference.
Abstract submission will close on 30 April 2026. The outcome of the abstract review will be communicated to the lead author by 30 June 2026 at the latest. At least one of the authors will be expected to register and pay for the conference and present the accepted abstract.
